Welcome to FLAMES!

To download and install FLAMES on your computer and set it up to begin learning how to use it, follow the instructions below.

Getting Started:

  1. Make sure your computer meets the system requirements for FLAMES.
  2. Download and install the FLAMES Launcher.
  3. Start the FLAMES Launcher on your computer.
  4. If you have not done so already, sign up for your FLAMES account.
  5. Sign in with your FLAMES account.
  6. In the Store section in the Launcher, select and add the FLAMES Developer to your Cart. The FLAMES Developer includes a trial version of the FLAMES Engine.
  7. In the Store section, select and add the Tutorial Content to your Cart. (The Tutorial Content is all you need to complete the training videos. Optionally, you can also add the Starter Content to your Cart, which includes more complex content.)
  8. Click the Cart symbol in the upper-right corner of the Launcher window. In the Cart, check out. Because the FLAMES Developer and the Tutorial Content are free, no payment will be required.
  9. In the Library section in the Launcher, select FLAMES Developer. From the FLAMES Developer page, select the Version and Architecture you wish to install.
  10. Click Download to download the FLAMES Developer to your computer.
  11. Click Install to install the FLAMES Developer on your computer. When you install, be sure to install all of the available items.
  12. On the same page under Subscriptions, click Assign to Host to assign the FLAMES Developer subscription to your computer.
  13. In the Projects section in the Launcher, create a new project named Tutorial (or any other name you prefer). When prompted, be sure to specify a Username for your personal user in the scenario database.
  14. In the Library section in the Launcher, select Tutorial Content. From the Tutorial Content page, select the same Version and Architecture that you selected for the FLAMES Developer.
  15. Download and install the Tutorial Content on your computer and in your project. When you install, be sure to install all of the available items.
  16. In the Projects section in the Launcher, select your project. On the page for your project, notice all of the icons in the FLAMES Applications section. You can double-click any of the icons to start the associated application or open the associated documentation.

You’re all set! To begin learning how to use FLAMES, watch the FLAMES tutorial videos.
